  • Trusted Partnerships: We work with reliable vendors and subcontractors who’ve been with ME for multiple years to deliver the highest-quality materials and craftsmanship.

Efficiency and Problem-Solving: While we strive to prevent issues and plan accordingly, inevitably every project will encounter some problems or mistakes. However, what is most important is how we respond and our team is equipped to handle unforeseen challenges quickly and professionally.

How Does ME Design Handle Communication?
  • Preferred Method: We primarily use text messaging for clarity and written documentation of design approvals, changes, and updates.
  • Business Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Response Time: While we aim to respond within the same business day, our team may need extra time during installations or presentations.
What is the typical payment schedule for home, kitchen, and bathroom remodeling projects?
  • Material Deposit: A deposit is required upfront to place materials into production, ensuring readiness before work begins.
  • Labor Billing: For shorter phases, labor is billed upon completion. For longer phases, weekly invoices cover the previous week’s work to maintain continuity.
  • Invoices: All invoices are due upon receipt.

Design Retainer: Depending on the project scope, a design retainer may be requested at the start or invoiced at the end.

What happens if invoices aren’t paid on time?

Delayed payments can result in project delays. Timely payments are essential to maintaining the timeline.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept checks and most major credit cards although fees may apply.

What’s the difference between home remodeling and home renovating?
  • Remodeling: Involves structural changes, such as moving walls or reconfiguring layouts, transforming a space’s function.
  • Renovating: Focuses on cosmetic updates, like painting or replacing fixtures, while keeping the space’s original purpose.
Can I live in my home during the remodel?

For smaller updates, staying is usually manageable. However, during larger renovations or remodels we suggest alternative arrangements.

Can I request changes once construction starts?

Yes, but changes may impact the timeline and budget. We’ll discuss options before proceeding.

What if I don’t know my style?

Our design team will guide you through the process, helping you discover and define your personal style.

Do I need to budget beyond the construction contract price?

Yes, we recommend budgeting for

  • Client-Requested Changes: Adjustments to the scope or design after work begins.
  • Unforeseen Conditions: Issues uncovered during construction.
